Privacy policy

This page explains what we collect when you use maspindzeli.ge or contact us, why we need it, who else sees it and what you can ask us to do with it. In short: we ask only for what we need to plan your trip, we never sell your data, and we use no advertising cookies.

Who we are

Maspindzeli Travel is a tour operator based in Tbilisi, Georgia. We decide how the personal data described here is used, so we are responsible for it (the "controller"). For any question or request about your data, write to hello@maspindzeli.ge or message us on WhatsApp at +995 598 74 74 54.

What we collect

• When you send a request through a form on this site (a tour, a custom trip or a rental): your name, your WhatsApp number or email address, what you asked about, your dates and anything you write in the comment box, plus the address of the page you sent it from. We need your name and a way to reply; everything else is optional.
• When you message us on WhatsApp or by email: your messages, your phone number or email address, and the details you give us to plan the trip, such as the number of travellers, arrival flight and pick-up place. When a hotel, permit or insurer requires it, we may also ask for travellers' names as written in their passports and passport numbers.
• When you browse the site with analytics switched on (see Cookies below): Google Analytics records the pages you open, your approximate location (country and city), your device and browser, and how you found us. Google says it does not log or store IP addresses in Google Analytics 4.
• Technical data: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives your IP address and browser details in order to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.
• Your "My trip" shortlist stays in your own browser. It reaches us only if you choose to send it with a request.

We do not take card numbers through our forms, by email or on WhatsApp.

Why we use it

• To answer your request and to plan, book and run your trip. This is needed to do what you asked us to do and to carry out our agreement with you.
• To meet our legal duties, for example keeping tax and accounting records of paid bookings.
• To keep the site safe and working, which is our legitimate interest.
• To count visits and see which pages help travellers. Where we ask for your consent (see below), we use analytics only if you accept; elsewhere this is our legitimate interest, and you can switch it off at any time.

We do not make automated decisions about you, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not send marketing emails. If we start a newsletter, you will get it only if you sign up for it.

Who else sees your data

• The people who deliver your trip: guides, drivers, hotels and guesthouses, horse and gear providers, and rental and transfer partners. Each gets only what they need, such as names, dates, the pick-up place and the number of travellers.
• The services we use to run the site and talk to you: FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) forwards form requests to our inbox; Hostnodes in Georgia hosts our email; WhatsApp (Meta) carries chats you start with us; Google provides analytics; Cloudflare hosts the site.
• Public authorities, only when the law requires it.

We never sell or rent your personal data.

Data processed outside Georgia

Google, Cloudflare, Meta and FormSubmit process data on servers in other countries, including the United States. We send each of them only what their service needs, and their own privacy policies apply to that processing.

Cookies and browser storage

We use no advertising cookies and no social media tracking pixels. This is everything the site stores in your browser:

In Europe, where the law asks for your consent first, you see a choice before analytics starts, and analytics stays off unless you press Accept. We tell where you are from your device's time zone. Elsewhere analytics is on from the start. Anyone can change this at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page or with the button below. Declining stops analytics from that moment; cookies already set stay until you delete them in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

• Requests that do not become a trip: up to 2 years after our last message, then deleted.
• Booked trips: booking and payment records for as long as Georgian tax and accounting law requires; other trip details for up to 2 years after the trip.
• Analytics: no longer than 14 months.

Your rights

Under the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection, and the GDPR if you are in the European Union, you can ask us to:

• tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct, update or complete it;
• stop using it and delete it;
• block (restrict) it while a question about it is being checked;
• send it to you or to another company in a common electronic format;
• withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect what we did with your consent before.

Write to hello@maspindzeli.ge. We reply within 10 working days. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, please tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the State Audit Office of Georgia, which supervises personal data protection in Georgia, or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Children

This site is for adults planning a trip. We do not knowingly collect data from children, except the details of children travelling with a family that a parent or guardian gives us to book the trip.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Requests and chats are kept in password-protected email and WhatsApp accounts that only the people who plan your trip can open.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects a trip you have already booked, we tell you directly.
