Festivals & holidays
Festivals in Georgia, month by month
Georgia's year is shaped by the Orthodox church calendar, the grape harvest and the summer opening of the high mountain roads. This calendar lists the official public holidays (days off set in the Labour Code, plus the 17 May holiday added in 2024) and the festivals worth planning a trip around, with the rule for each date, the 2026 date where known and our forecast for 2027. Church feasts and fixed holidays are reliable; city and music festivals are announced only weeks ahead, so any 2027 date marked as not confirmed is our expectation, not an official announcement.
Nationwide holidays show under every region. Dates marked expected follow the usual rule and are confirmed closer to the time.
