Adishi Weather
Adishi weather matters most to trekkers: the village sits at ~2,040 m, the second overnight stop on the Mestia to Ushguli trek, and the track to it is snowbound for most of the year. July and August bring days of about 21 °C (70 °F) and chilly nights near 9 °C (48 °F). From about October to April the ground usually lies under snow, so the walking season is short, roughly July to mid-September.

Adishi weather through the year
SpringMar–May
Adishi weather by month shows no real spring for visitors. March highs are about 3 °C and nights near -6 °C, April still freezes at night, and snow normally covers the village through April, lingering higher up into May. Rain or snow falls on 13 to 14 days in April and May. The track up from Zhabeshi is usually impassable to vehicles, and most guesthouses stay closed until summer.
Highs 3° to 13° · lows −6° to 3° · 306 mm rain
SummerJun–Aug
June is the wettest month, about 132 mm on 15 days, and snow often still covers the Chkhunderi pass above the village. Settled weather in Adishi comes in July and August: highs near 21 °C, nights about 9 °C, and cloud cover down to around 28 to 30 percent. Showers still happen, and the glacier-fed Adishchala swells on warm afternoons.
Highs 18° to 21° · lows 6° to 9° · 368 mm rain
AutumnSep–Nov
September is often lovely, around 17 °C by day with ten rainy days, but nights drop to about 5 °C and guesthouses start closing after the middle of the month. By October nights hover near 0 °C, highs reach only 11 °C, and early snow on the pass is possible. November highs of about 4 °C mean winter has arrived.

WinterDec–Feb
Winter cuts Adishi off. Highs stay below freezing from December to February, January nights average close to -11 °C, and cloud covers more than half the sky. Snow buries the track from Zhabeshi, so the village is out of reach for ordinary visitors until summer. For a winter taste of Svaneti, base yourself in Mestia instead.

Best time to visit Adishi
The best time to visit Adishi is mid-July to early September, which is also the prime window for the whole Mestia to Ushguli trek. By then the Chkhunderi pass (~2,700 m) is usually free of snow, the Adishchala runs lower in the early morning, and you get the year's clearest skies. Late June is possible for fit hikers who accept snow patches and a higher river. From mid-September, confirm that a guesthouse is still open before you set off.
The Adishchala crossing is the weather feature that shapes your day. The river below the village is glacier-fed and rises as the sun warms the ice, so it is normally lowest at first light, highest in the afternoon, and higher still after rain. Cross early, or pay one of the local horsemen to take you over, and never wade it in a storm.

- Headlamp for a pre-dawn start to the river
Adishi weather: FAQ
When is the Adishchala river crossing easiest?
Early in the morning, after the night's cold has slowed the glacier melt. On July and August days, when highs reach about 21 °C (70 °F), the water rises through the afternoon, and after heavy rain it can be unsafe all day. In season, local horsemen usually offer to carry trekkers across for a fee.
Is June too early to trek through Adishi?
It can be. With roughly 132 mm of rain over 15 days, June is the wettest month here, and old snow usually lingers on the Chkhunderi pass while meltwater keeps the river high. Highs around 18 °C (64 °F) are pleasant, but late June is the earliest sensible start without a guide.
How cold is Adishi at night?
Even at the height of summer, nights average about 9 °C (48 °F), and by September they fall to around 5 °C (41 °F). Pack a fleece and a warm hat for every evening, and a sleeping-bag liner adds warmth in simple guesthouses.
Does it snow in Adishi in summer?
Snow in the village itself is unusual in July and August, but snow showers on the Chkhunderi pass are possible in any month, and old snow patches often remain into July. From October, with nights near 0 °C (32 °F), fresh snow can return at any time.
