Kazbegi drops to around 6 °C by day and Gudauri to 3 °C, and late in the month the Jvari Pass can see its first snow closures.

Tbilisi in November: FAQ

Is it still autumn in Tbilisi in November?

For the first half of the month, mostly yes. Expect afternoons around 13 °C (55 °F), dropping after dark to about 5 °C (41 °F), and the weather in Tbilisi in November is noticeably milder in the first week than in the last. Snow is rare, so a warm jacket, a scarf and closed shoes are usually enough.

Is Kazbegi worth visiting in November?

Yes, if you are ready for early winter. Stepantsminda averages around 6 °C (43 °F) by day and -3 °C at night, fresh snow usually dusts the surrounding peaks and the summer crowds are gone. Check the road before leaving Tbilisi, since snow can close the Jvari Pass, and keep the day flexible.
